Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage warehouse operations alongside ensuring superior customer service standards.
- Plan long-term capacity enhancement strategies for warehousing and monitor the expansion of depot footprint.
- Lead automation initiatives including digitizing warehouse activities, deploying visual analytics, and integrating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Vehicle tracking, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Conceptualize and execute vertical warehousing projects to optimize space utilization.
- Continuously analyze warehouse utilization and propose strategic short- and long-term improvements.
- Oversee warehouse cost management, including selection and negotiation with warehouses and Contract & Freight expenses, engaging with vendors effectively.
- Enhance depot operational efficiency aiming for high throughput, quick truck turnarounds, and optimized labor productivity.
- Implement and supervise CFA audits and performance scorecards to maintain operational standards.
- Develop, enforce, and monitor depot standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and control.
- Design and manage depot payment frameworks and conduct regular depot audits.
- Ensure adherence to Product Distribution Process (PDP) compliances and implement Customer Relationship Service Excellence (CRSE) practices.
- Motivate and guide Customer Service Officers (CSOs) and warehouse representatives to achieve excellent service metric results.
- Promote and monitor warehouse best practices consistently across all regions.
- Plan and deliver effective training modules to upskill teams involved in warehouse and customer service functions.
- Monitor and develop customer service metrics to measure satisfaction and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Regional Customer Service Managers to address norm corrections and redesign product distribution processes as needed.
