Job description
Role overview
This position supports educational activities for a project focused on preventing Ebola. The officer works closely with children, schools, and community-based structures to provide technical follow-up and ensure the education component is delivered effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Adapt and develop engaging, innovative learning tools and outreach methods for children and schools.
- Take part in awareness sessions held in target schools and community settings.
- Work with the MEAL team to monitor how Ebola prevention measures are being applied in schools and communities.
- Train and support teachers, school leaders, parents, and guardians on the project’s themes.
- Ensure messaging is appropriate for children’s age, gender, disability, and level of understanding.
- Record education-related activities and contribute to regular project reporting.
Required profile
- A background in education sciences, pedagogy, training sciences, cooperation, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to design simple, participatory materials suitable for children and community audiences.
- Experience in facilitation, adult learning, and work with schools.
- Strong organization, patience, teaching ability, creativity, and teamwork skills.
