Role Overview
The National Account Manager will significantly impact revenue growth by focusing primarily on acquiring new customers (80% of duties) and also on retaining and expanding business within existing accounts (20%). This role requires consultative selling skills, deep understanding of client needs, and long-term relationship management across services including Connectivity, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Colocation, Compute AI, and Payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities using structured prospecting, cold outreach, referrals, and account-based sales strategies.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects to meet or exceed new business revenue targets.
- Manage full sales cycles from discovery through to deal closure, including proposal development and negotiations.
- Develop strategic acquisition plans guided by market intelligence and competitive analysis.
- Represent the company professionally in client meetings, industry events, and forums to enhance brand presence and build pipeline.
- Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to design customized, commercially feasible solutions while complying with governance processes.
- Build and sustain long-lasting customer relationships by understanding customer business models, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Support account growth by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities in existing clients.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records and sales activities in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Provide feedback to management on industry trends, competition, and customer insights.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Line Manager as necessary.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is mandatory.
- Additional credentials in sales, marketing, or telecommunications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with information technology and digital infrastructure is preferred.
- At least three years of demonstrated success in B2B sales, particularly in enterprise or key account management.
- Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot is required.
- Experience in the telecom or ISP sector is a plus.
- Proven track record managing complex sales processes and consistently hitting revenue goals.
