Responsibilities
- Keep children engaged through play, reading, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities.
- Provide warm, attentive, and safe care at all times.
- Use creativity and child-focused interaction to make time with children enjoyable and productive.
- Apply knowledge of child development when helpful, including guiding behavior in a firm but friendly manner.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in childcare, babysitting, or nanny work; experience with infants and toddlers is preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- A dependable, insured vehicle is needed for travel to family homes.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- CPR training is required or the candidate must be willing to complete it.
- Ability to be creative, engaging, and focused on children’s needs.
