Job description
Role Overview
This position sits within the sales function and focuses on expanding Salesforce’s Customer 360 platform across both existing accounts and new opportunities in Malaysia. The role calls for someone who can build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and senior decision-makers, identify opportunities, and help clients realize business value from their Salesforce investment.
What You’ll Do
- Create and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at assigned accounts while improving overall customer satisfaction.
- Shape and own the long-term account strategy so it aligns with the customer’s business priorities.
- Run the complete sales cycle by coordinating with internal and external specialists such as Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Executives, and Partners.
- Map the territory, research the market, and build a qualified target account list within 30 days.
- Communicate the Salesforce value proposition to both current customers and prospective buyers.
- Drive expansion and revenue growth within an assigned existing account base.
Skills and Capability Requirements
- Ability to plan accounts and build practical strategies to meet sales targets in the Malaysian market.
- Strong research and discovery skills to uncover customer processes, pain points, and business goals.
- Comfort with solution-led selling and the ability to position technology-driven value.
- Clear, timely communication skills across writing, speaking, and presentations, using tools such as whiteboarding, Google Slides, and Zoom.
- Strong ownership of outcomes and the ability to use available resources effectively to drive results.
- Demonstrated success in direct sales roles with quota responsibility and technology-based solutions.
- Ability to work closely with account teams and partners in a team-selling environment.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa-Melayu.
Preferred Background
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Exposure to or training in sales methodologies.
- Experience creating business cases and service requirements, as well as building strategic alliances.
