About the Role
Join Mondelēz International's mission to shape the future of snacking while ensuring flawless service operations within Digital Services. As a specialist, you will leverage your expertise to support effective process management and service delivery aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive payroll operations in close collaboration with the Sub-Saharan Africa People Team to achieve accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Ensure all statutory and third-party payments are completed accurately within required deadlines to avoid penalties or compliance issues.
- Implement and maintain stringent internal controls and compliance mechanisms to meet high governance standards.
- Validate payroll data meticulously to guarantee completeness, consistency, and accuracy throughout the payroll cycle.
- Coordinate effectively among cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth payroll delivery and compliance adherence.
- Develop and co-own standard operating procedures promoting process simplification and standardization.
- Contribute to training material creation and ensure procedures align with company policies and legal requirements for data protection.
- Analyze exceptions, report discrepancies, and recommend continuous improvements for sustainable operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Two to five years of payroll and accounts management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Strong understanding of local statutory, tax, and labor regulations specific to Sub-Saharan African markets.
- Experience working within a shared services setting.
- Capable of managing complex payroll involving multiple entities with varied requirements.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Expertise in end-to-end payroll processing including compliance and control frameworks.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating initiative and teamwork.
- Experience in process design, mapping, and gathering business requirements.
- Knowledge in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance management is advantageous.
