M&V Specialist

Role overview

GREENER by IHCC is hiring an M&V Specialist to contribute to commercial and industrial energy-efficiency and demand-side management initiatives. This position focuses on building and executing measurement and verification plans, studying energy performance, confirming achieved savings, and backing broader sustainability work.

Core responsibilities

• Create and assess measurement and verification plans aligned with IPMVP requirements.
• Visit project sites and gather field observations and measurements.
• Set up, operate, and recover metering and data-logging equipment.
• Review energy use data and validate the savings delivered by projects.
• Carry out pre- and post-implementation baseline evaluations.
• Draft technical documentation, findings, and improvement suggestions.
• Handle several energy-efficiency assignments and coordinate stakeholders across them.
• Assist with quality checks and technical validation work.
• Offer technical support and direction to junior engineering team members when needed.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or another relevant engineering field is required.
• At least 3 years of background in energy efficiency, sustainability, building science, or a closely related area is expected.
• Strong knowledge of measurement and verification practices and IPMVP is needed.
• Practical exposure to HVAC systems, energy management, renewable energy, or building-performance analysis is important.
• The role calls for strong analytical ability, clear communication, and solid report-writing skills.
• Applicants should be comfortable managing multiple projects and working with different stakeholders effectively.
• CMVP certification is an advantage.

This is an onsite role based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
