About Conradh na Gaeilge

Conradh na Gaeilge is a renowned voluntary organization committed to promoting the Irish language worldwide. Established in 1893 by Dubhghlas de hÍde, Eoin Mac Néill, and others, the organization has led efforts to revitalize the usage of Irish and to awaken interest in Irish language and culture ever since.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Seachtain na Gaeilge, Awareness Campaigns, and the Permanent Committee of the Conradh, the Multimedia Executive & Content Creator will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Filming and editing videos from awareness events and sector activities
  • Coordinating and analyzing social media platforms associated with scéal.ie and assisting with other accounts as needed
  • Regular dispatch of the scéal.ie newsletter
  • Contributing positively to the image of the Irish language
  • Supporting the implementation of communications policy
  • Providing assistance across other major organizational areas
  • Performing any other related duties as required

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience suitable for the role
  • Advanced skills in video editing
  • Experience managing social media and related software
  • Strong communication abilities with team members and the public
  • Skills and experience in graphic design
  • Experience with website management is advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken Irish language proficiency

Salary Scale

The role is classified as an Executive Officer position, Circular 07/2026, with a salary range of €38,803 to €63,227. It must be offered at the base of the scale. Additionally, a 5% pension contribution will be added upon completion of the probation period.

Additional Information

  • Conradh na Gaeilge operates on an all-island basis, and all employees share responsibilities accordingly.
  • Interviews will be conducted via Zoom on Thursday, 20th August.
  • The post may involve remote working but requires at least one day per week at the Conradh na Gaeilge offices in Dublin or another office as necessary.
  • The appointed candidate is expected to attend organizational and sector events as part of their role.
  • Applications can be submitted in Irish without issue.
  • Regular nationwide travel will be required.
  • This position is funded by Foras na Gaeilge.
