Position Overview
Country Club Lodging, LLC is recruiting an experienced and visionary Multi-Unit General Manager to oversee the strategic and operational functions of two Marriott-affiliated hotels in Kansas City, comprising a total of 298 guestrooms. Reporting to Ownership, Regional Director of Operations, and Asset Management, this executive role demands leadership in financial performance, guest satisfaction, brand compliance, talent development, and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overarching strategic direction, operational success, financial management, and market positioning of both hotels.
- Develop and implement annual business strategies and measurable goals aligned with ownership and Marriott standards.
- Inspire and guide executive teams in various departments including Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Rooms, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Human Resources, and Housekeeping.
- Champion a culture marked by accountability, leadership, operational excellence, innovation, and employee engagement.
- Manage full profit and loss responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance evaluation of revenue and expenses.
- Analyze key performance indicators such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, GOP, NOI, EBITDA, and labor costs to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
- Oversee operational execution across all departments ensuring brand standards and unique property identities are maintained.
- Develop and standardize procedures that promote efficiency and consistency while advocating technology and automation.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales & Marketing to enhance market share and profitability across all business segments.
- Maintain high guest satisfaction through personalized service, proactive recovery, and close monitoring of feedback and brand standards.
- Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and develop executive leadership, fostering succession planning and a diverse, engaged workforce.
- Act as the chief liaison among ownership, management, Marriott International, and community stakeholders providing regular performance and strategic updates.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and brand standards while managing risk and emergency preparedness.
- Represent the company within the Kansas City hospitality community to strengthen partnerships and promote the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 10 years of ascending leadership roles in hotel management, with a minimum of 5 years as a General Manager at full-service or lifestyle hotels.
- Experience managing multiple properties and Marriott brand experience are highly desirable.
- Proven track record in P&L management, budgeting, revenue optimization, and operational leadership.
- Strong proficiency in hotel operations, brand compliance, quality assurance, and property management systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
