Multi Skilled Operative - Social Housing Refurbishment

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join a dedicated Voids team responsible for refurbishing social housing properties across Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, and Salisbury. This permanent, full-time position involves delivering high-quality refurbishment and repair work to empty properties, preparing them for new tenants.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and joinery repairs including door hanging and adjustments.
• Refurbish kitchens and bathrooms within social housing units.
• Replace internal and external doors, including UPVC doors and windows.
• Conduct basic plumbing repairs and installations.
• Apply painting, decorating, wall and floor tiling.
• Carry out patch plastering and flooring installation such as cap and cove flooring.
• Perform general multi-trade repairs and maintenance as required.
• Effectively manage work schedules using handheld devices, adhering to programme deadlines to ensure each property meets high standards.

Working Hours and Location

The role requires working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with on-call duty scheduled one week out of every seven. The position is on-site and covers locations within the UK’s South West region, mainly Bournemouth, Dorset.
