About the Role
Green by Nature is expanding its team in Redland Bay and seeks motivated individuals to join as Mowing & Brushcutting Team Members. This role involves operating commercial mowing equipment, including ride-on mowers and brushcutters, to maintain roadsides, parks, reserves, streetscapes, and other public open spaces. The position offers opportunities across casual, fixed-term, and permanent contracts.
Key Duties
- Operate commercial ride-on, zero-turn, and out-front mowers safely and efficiently.
- Perform brushcutting and edging tasks around kerbs, signage, trees, fences, pathways, and roadside infrastructure.
- Maintain public spaces to a high standard, ensuring safety and visual appeal.
- Carry out general grounds maintenance such as blowing, litter collection, and vegetation management.
- Conduct daily equipment pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working near traffic, pedestrians, and other crews.
- Ensure consistent, quality presentation across all assigned locations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current driver's licence and White Card are mandatory.
- Experience operating commercial mowing or brushcutting equipment is highly valued.
- Possession of Traffic Management or Traffic Control tickets and chemical accreditation (ACDC/ChemCert) is advantageous.
- Physical fitness and enjoyment of outdoor work are essential.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, safety commitment, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Additional Requirements
Successful applicants may be required to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
