Role Overview

The Bridge Loan Specialist is a hybrid processing and underwriting position focused on reviewing Knock Bridge Loans for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with both regulatory requirements and internal underwriting standards. The role also requires fast turnaround times, strong customer support, technical assistance, and quality control across multiple loans at once.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work out Knock Bridge Loan advance amounts using the company’s internal formulas and guidelines.
  • Apply accurate conditions to loan files based on the application and supporting documents.
  • Keep internal teams informed with timely updates on loan progress and approval status.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with lending partners, agents, and borrowers.
  • Review title reports plus homeowners and flood insurance documents to protect Knock’s lien position and security interest.
  • Handle a daily loan pipeline efficiently while meeting company turnaround targets.
  • Remain current on company procedures, policy updates, lending regulations, and industry changes that may affect the business.
  • Support teammates through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and ongoing collaboration.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc assignments and step in wherever additional support is needed.

Requirements

  • Background as a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor or Junior Underwriter, with a working understanding of underwriting workflows and lending platforms.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to interpret and apply lending rules correctly.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills in a busy startup setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and detailed communication style.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once without losing efficiency.
  • Fast learner who can quickly adopt new tools and improve through self-study, research, and thoughtful questions.
  • Interest in real estate innovation and in making a positive difference for customers.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment and contributing new ideas with confidence.
  • Solid understanding of loan products, credit reports, and debt-to-income ratios.
  • Proven ability to work fully remotely and collaborate with a distributed U.S. team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent computer use is required throughout the workday.
  • The role requires clear communication and exchange of information by phone and internet video tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The company states a good-faith salary estimate of USD 70,000 for this role. As a fully remote, U.S.-based employer, Knock aims to compensate employees fairly. Actual compensation and overall benefits are determined at the company’s discretion and may vary based on experience, level, location, and other business factors.
