Job description
Role Overview
As a Mixer, you’ll represent the brand’s core values while creating a welcoming and memorable experience for guests. The role involves guiding customers through the menu and preparing fresh salads from scratch.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal person will bring a background in food service, restaurant work, or customer-facing roles, though this is preferred rather than mandatory. You should be a strong communicator, comfortable working collaboratively, and bring a positive, hands-on attitude. The environment is fast-moving, so confidence, adaptability, quick learning, and a strong sense of responsibility are important.
Key Duties
You’ll work alongside other Mixers, Restaurant Supervisors, and the Restaurant Manager to deliver a standout guest experience and produce high-quality bowls.
Benefits
Working here comes with a lively workplace, competitive pay, staff discounts across locations including on days off, ongoing training with growth opportunities, and team social events such as parties and sports activities.
About the Company
ThisBowl Fishbowl is one of Australia’s fastest-growing food brands, known for fresh made-to-order salads with an Asian-inspired twist. Established in 2016 in Bondi, the business has expanded to more than 50 sites across the east coast of Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast. In 2024, the brand also began its international expansion with its first restaurant in New York City. Its mission is to reshape fast-food culture while building a team of quality-focused food lovers.
Interview Process
The hiring process includes an initial 10–15 minute pre-screen call with the recruitment team, followed by a one-hour in-store trial with an operations leader. The trial is designed to assess attention to detail, customer service, a positive attitude, and hygiene standards. If successful, the next step is a job offer and onboarding.
Application Details
Applicants should be enthusiastic, customer-focused, team-oriented, and committed to doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia and share their availability. Melbourne, Victoria is the primary location, with preferences available for multiple Melbourne-area stores.
Additional Information
The application process requests personal details, location preferences, a short video explaining why you want to work for the company, an up-to-date CV, and how you heard about the opportunity. Video submissions are optional and may be uploaded in mp4, mov, avi, webm, or mkv format, with a maximum file size of 1 GB. CV upload is required and also limited to 1 GB.
