Position Overview
Our client, a public hospital located in Cork, Ireland, is actively seeking a dedicated Minor Injuries Registrar to join their Urgent Care Centre. This role is ideal for doctors who have a strong background in Emergency Department (ED), Surgery, or Acute Medicine and are eager to advance their careers in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage care for patients presenting with urgent injuries and minor conditions.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver effective patient care.
- Engage in clinical audits, participate in training sessions, and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols and uphold best clinical practices at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must hold general registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Completion of professional medical examinations such as MRCEM or evidence of progression towards these qualifications is advantageous.
- Demonstrated post-internship experience in Emergency Department, Surgery, or Acute Medicine settings.
- Experience in hospitals within Ireland, the EU, UK, or South Africa is preferred but not mandatory.
- Applicants need to have valid English language proficiency certification, either an IELTS score with an overall band of 7 and a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or an OET certificate with an overall grade B.
- Availability to start the role in July or August 2026 is required.
