Job description
Overview
This program is tailored for active duty military personnel interested in the SkillBridge initiative and based in or relocating to the Tampa, FL region. Participants will engage in an on-site internship at Paragon Cyber Solutions, functioning in entry to mid-level career roles and receiving hands-on training within a typical 40-hour work week. The program welcomes service members of all ranks and experience levels.
Program Goals
The primary aim is to offer transitioning service members immersive job skill development during the concluding phase of their military tenure. This initiative is designed to facilitate internships that may lead to full-time positions upon completion.
Objectives
Participants who finish the internship will be well-prepared and qualified to contribute from day one in alignment with organizational needs. The experience includes professional growth, leadership networking, and training focused on Paragon’s leadership culture, company background, client engagement, product and service knowledge, and key job functions.
Expected Outcome
The program is intended to support a smooth and successful transition from military to civilian employment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Active Duty for at least 180 days
- Within 12 months of separation or retirement
- Expected honorable discharge
- Completion of any required service Transition Assistance Programs (TAPS/TGPS)
- Participation in an ethics briefing within the past 12 months
- Authorization and written approval by Unit Commander (O-4/Field Grade) to join the SkillBridge program before starting

Preferred Qualifications
- Availability of a minimum three-month approved SkillBridge internship
Security Clearance
- An active US Government Secret security clearance or higher is preferred but not mandatory
Additional Details
Participants continue to receive their military compensation and benefits throughout and are not compensated by Paragon during the internship. This program offers a focused professional experience to prepare service members for civilian jobs post-military service.
