Job description
About Nightingale Health Services LLC
Nightingale Health Services LLC is a British-led home healthcare provider based in Dubai, delivering comprehensive and family-oriented medical services directly at clients' residences. Their offerings encompass a wide range of care including professional nursing, medical visits, physiotherapy, newborn and maternity support, and compassionate assistance for the elderly. Their baby care services cover sleep training, lactation and breastfeeding guidance, while they also provide post-operative care including wound management and intravenous treatments at home. Moreover, the company conducts antenatal and postnatal educational classes, nanny training, and pediatric first aid courses to ensure accessible and dependable home care for families throughout Dubai.
Role Overview
The Midwife position requires a full-time presence on-site in Dubai, delivering expert midwifery services within clients’ homes and designated healthcare environments. Daily responsibilities include administering antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care; performing thorough evaluations of pregnant and postpartum clients; and offering evidence-based education concerning pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques. The midwife supports families during post-cesarean recovery and postnatal phases, assists with newborn care routines, and works closely with lactation consultants to resolve feeding-related issues.
Collaboration with doctors, nurses, and various healthcare professionals is crucial to ensure safe, coordinated, and effective care. The midwife is also tasked with meticulously maintaining records and advocating for best practices in maternal and infant health. Compassionate, culturally aware care delivery and adherence to professional standards are essential, alongside active participation in enhancing the quality of home maternity services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in midwifery including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal care, newborn assessments, and postnatal recovery support.
- In-depth understanding of breastfeeding support, lactation, and providing parental education on infant feeding and care.
- Ability to offer calm, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care to birthing individuals, newborns, and families in home settings.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills for educating and comforting clients, and facilitating collaboration with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams.
- Sound clinical judgment, observational skills, and accurate documentation with attention to infection control and evidence-based approaches.
- Possession of a valid midwifery certification and registration as mandated in Dubai; experience in home healthcare, maternity, or neonatal environments is highly advantageous.
- Capability to travel locally for home visits, work flexible hours including evenings or nights, and manage care autonomously with responsibility.
- Competency in basic digital tools for maintaining electronic records and scheduling appointments; fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional regional languages is beneficial.
