About the Role
As a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the backbone of our digital products. You will work in a technology-driven team where you will craft robust, scalable systems using modern approaches such as TDD, DDD, and continuous integration/delivery. The technology stack primarily utilizes Java 17/21, with supporting tools like GCP, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile APIs
- Design and expand microservices to modernize our technical architecture
- Enhance mission-critical business systems, including areas such as risk management, fraud prevention, and payment processing
- Work on both greenfield projects and the optimization of legacy systems
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Java
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated fast learning skills, drive, and a focus on results
- Collaborative nature suitable for dynamic, fast-moving environments
- Strong communication and organizational capabilities
- Full professional proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kotlin or Scala
- Background in the financial sector
- Experience at startups or high-growth environments
- Exposure to product-centric development teams
