About Millennium
Millennium is a worldwide alternative investment firm established in 1989. Built around change, innovation, and disciplined execution, the firm aims to create strong outcomes for its investors.
The organization gives its people both independence and support: employees are encouraged to own ideas and act with conviction, while also benefiting from a global network that values teamwork, disciplined risk controls, and ongoing learning. The environment is designed to help talent broaden expertise, grow faster, and create long-term impact.
Team Overview
The Operations & Middle Office function safeguards the accuracy of the firm’s trading records and books across asset classes. It partners closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Risk, Technology, Core Operations, and outside counterparties to keep trade capture precise, resolve exceptions quickly, reinforce controls, and improve operational workflows in a dynamic investment setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Track intraday trading activity across fixed income and equity products, and help establish trade capture procedures on a trade-date basis in coordination with Risk and Technology.
- Make sure trade affirmations are completed accurately and on time across multiple asset classes, while working with internal and external stakeholders to close breaks quickly.
- Serve as a main contact for Portfolio Managers and Trading teams when issues arise around positions, pricing, technology, risk, or securities.
- Collaborate with internal groups to simplify workflows and improve control frameworks.
- Work regularly with prime brokers, sell-side dealers, and vendors to resolve operational issues and refine procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, or Trader Assistant positions.
- Practical knowledge of the full product lifecycle across multiple products, with solid depth in at least one area such as interest rate derivatives, credit derivatives, FX, equities, or commodities.
- Hands-on exposure to at least one relevant platform, such as Markitwire, CTM, Murex, Imagine, Bloomberg, or Reuters.
- Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to learn quickly, manage several tasks at once, and prioritize in a high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Good teamwork, clear communication, and a proactive working style.
