Overview
An award-winning retail design agency is hiring a Mid-weight 2D Designer to join its creative team in London. The studio works with well-known retailers and consumer brands across brand design, strategy, interiors, and brand experience. This role suits someone who can contribute to creative solutions for retail, brand communication, and experiential projects, supporting the team from initial concept through to final delivery.

Responsibilities
- Create polished graphic and motion assets for both print and digital channels.
- Partner with creative and account teams to meet client expectations and deliver strong design outcomes.
- Collaborate with the wider studio to build fresh concepts and practical creative solutions.
- Develop compelling presentation materials and tell clear visual stories to clients.
- Own projects from brief stage through to final delivery, including client-facing communication where needed.
- Use storyboarding to plan, visualise, and technically prepare print and motion projects before production.
- Design visuals for retail, print, and digital applications.
- Build, manage, and maintain brand asset systems.
- Produce custom illustrations and graphics that strengthen visual communication.
- Apply strong knowledge of the design industry and current best practice.
- Support the delivery of a human-centred design approach.
- Maintain consistently high standards across every project.
- Contribute to creative briefs, brainstorms, and wider agency output.
- Keep up with current design trends, tools, and technologies, and test new methods to keep work inventive and relevant.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a graphic designer.
- Previous client-facing experience.
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior team members across multiple briefs.
- Strong ability to respond to creative briefs with solid ideation and conceptual thinking.
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Miro, and Figma.
- Genuine interest in and awareness of retail, interiors, design, and branding.
- Flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to company processes while helping improve standards collaboratively.
- 3D visualisation and animation skills are not essential, but would be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Capability to prepare graphics schedules and approve print proofs.
- Experience working with producers and print vendors to execute print materials.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- High motivation, fresh thinking, and a strong sense of current design trends.
- Creative, quality-driven approach to work.

Schedule and Location
The role is based in the Shoreditch office in London. Standard working hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm, with some flexibility. The team currently works on a hybrid pattern with a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
