Role Overview

As a Merchandiser for SEAO, you will play a key role in supporting buying and allocation processes. You will expand your commercial insight through analyzing past sales trends and conducting market research. This role reports directly to the Merchandising Director for SEAO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee initial allocation, stock replenishment, and consolidation.
  • Manage product launch plans by monitoring delivery status and collaborating with the Visual Merchandising team.
  • Create and evaluate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to inform management.
  • Handle aspects of buying including assortment planning by cluster and preparing product presentations.
  • Support new store openings and initial stock preparations.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to track trends, customer preferences, competitor pricing, and product offerings, keeping the regional team updated to assist product development.
  • Collaborate with merchandising managers to set sales goals by key product lines or strategic groups segmented by country or store and track progress against these targets.
  • Maintain sales and inventory data for ongoing items versus forecasts and manage reorder processes.
  • Monitor top-selling items and stock status across countries and stores.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in retail merchandising within prominent fashion or luxury brands, preferably focusing on leather goods.
  • Strong product awareness with emphasis on leather goods, ready-to-wear, and footwear.
  • Solid analytical capabilities and good understanding of retail key performance indicators (KPIs), proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
