About the role
BIG W is seeking a Merchandise Leader to help shape customer-facing destination areas by improving inspiration, key events, price perception, and the overall shopping experience. This is a permanent full-time position based onsite in Smeaton Grange, New South Wales, Australia, with a roster from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What you will do
- Deliver a consistently strong in-store customer experience.
- Build positive connections with the communities the store serves.
- Support the value proposition through correct pricing and ticketing.
- Keep the store clean, organised, and easy for customers to shop.
- Plan and execute inspiring retail destinations using visual merchandising and new planogram setups across departments.
- Communicate clearly with team members during change by explaining the reasons behind decisions.
- Strengthen team capability through coaching, encouragement, and empowerment.
What we are looking for

You should be comfortable working with change, act with agility, and use data and insights to guide decisions across team, customer, and performance measures. Strong creativity, attention to detail, planning ability, and the discipline to follow structured routines are important. You must also be available for a flexible roster that may include evenings, late nights, and work across all seven days.
