About the role
BIG W is looking for a Merchandise Leader in Kirwan, Queensland, Australia. This is a permanent full-time store-based opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping great customer experiences, supporting team capability, and delivering strong presentation standards across destination areas.
The role sits within a fast-changing retail environment focused on meaningful customer value, well-executed events, and a strong in-store experience. The business is seeking a leader who brings care, adaptability, and a genuine focus on team, customer, and community.
Roster
The advertised roster options are:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Tuesday to Saturday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Wednesday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Tuesday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM
The business also notes flexibility may be considered, including part-time, job share, or other arrangements to help balance work and life commitments.
What the role involves
- Delivering a consistently strong customer experience in store
- Connecting with local communities and making a positive contribution
- Supporting value pricing and accurate ticketing across the store
- Keeping the store clean, organised, and easy for customers to shop
- Planning and executing engaging destination areas through visual merchandising and new planograms across departments
- Communicating clearly with the team during change and helping them understand the reasons behind decisions
- Building team capability through coaching, encouragement, and empowerment
