About the Role

PM Pediatric Care is passionate about delivering exceptional care and is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Throughput Manager to lead and optimize patient flow within Mental Health services. This role involves managing the entire patient journey from referral through treatment and billing, ensuring timely, high-quality care and efficient operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams including Intake Coordinators, Scheduling Specialists, and Access Coordinators by recruiting, training, and providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
  • Oversee patient access and intake operations to ensure prompt response to referrals and appointment requests, enhancing patient conversion rates and reducing barriers to care.
  • Analyze and improve patient throughput by optimizing provider schedules, forecasting capacity, and increasing service accessibility.
  • Manage referral processes both internal and external, ensuring timely documentation, authorizations, and smooth transitions across care levels.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to address billing and claims throughput obstacles, supporting accurate scheduling and charge capture.
  • Drive operational excellence by developing standardized workflows, implementing process improvements, and leading projects related to system implementations and new program launches.
  • Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with HIPAA and regulatory policies through audits and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual with excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Psychology, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience specializing in healthcare operations or patient access, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working within mental health service settings.
  • Strong expertise in scheduling systems and patient access management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Compensation Details

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, subject to variation based on location, experience, and qualifications. PM Pediatric Care carefully evaluates each applicant's compensation individually.
