Role Overview

We are looking for experienced healthcare leaders, including physicians, executives, investors, and subject matter experts to join as a Member of the Board of Advisors focusing on the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain. This flexible, remote position invites strategic guidance on priorities, growth, partnerships, investments, and founder support across our expanding venture capital and entrepreneurship platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

• Offer strategic counsel on Healthcare Shares' development, positioning, partnership building, investment themes, and long-term goals.
• Provide insights on healthcare market dynamics, emerging trends, startup assessments, founder assistance, and social impact strategies.
• Contribute expertise in clinical care, healthcare operations, digital health, biotech, medical devices, pharma, payer/provider strategies, healthcare AI, investing, or entrepreneurship.
• Enhance the firm's network with valuable introductions, perspectives, and expertise to fortify the ecosystem and portfolio support.
• Engage in periodic board discussions and supply informed recommendations aligned with your professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive background in healthcare, medicine, life sciences, venture capital, startups, healthcare operations, digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare AI, or related sectors.
• Experience in senior leadership, board roles, advisory capacities, investing, entrepreneurship, clinical practice, or operations is desirable.
• A robust professional network across healthcare, investment, startup, clinical, hospital, payer, provider, pharma, biotech, health technology, or innovation domains.
• Capability to deliver strategic and mission-focused guidance supporting healthcare startups and the Healthcare Shares platform.
• Availability for approximately 2 to 4 hours monthly to participate in board and advisory engagements.

Compensation and Benefits

Board members may earn carried interest in the Healthcare Shares venture capital fund. Opportunities may exist to support venture studio companies and startups, possibly including sweat equity when relevant. Benefits also include networking with healthcare innovators, early exposure to emerging healthcare startups, contributing to social impact, and supporting mission-driven companies within the healthcare innovation ecosystem.
