Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Member of Technical Staff in Medical Research to join our team remotely on a full-time basis. The position focuses on developing and implementing computational techniques to analyze medical data, innovate algorithms for diagnostics and therapy, and contribute authoritative research to high-impact scholarly journals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and validate machine learning models tailored for medical imaging and clinical decision support systems.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to convert research into practical scalable solutions.
- Disseminate research results through publications in peer-reviewed academic journals and by presenting at scientific conferences to promote advancements in medical research.
- Enhance algorithm performance, accuracy, and computational efficiency when handling extensive medical datasets.
- Support the development and maintenance of proprietary tools and frameworks designed to expedite medical research processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Doctoral degree or comparable experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or similar disciplines centered on medical applications.
- Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling specifically applied to medical datasets.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia, including experience with medical data libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with medical imaging modalities (MRI, CT, X-ray) and toolkits such as ITK, SimpleITK, MONAI.
- A strong record of published works in reputable medical or AI research journals.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards including DICOM and HL7, and compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Proven capability to thrive in a dynamic research setting with iterative development cycles.
