Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Member of Technical Staff specializing in Medical Research to join our client’s team remotely on a full-time basis. This position entails designing and implementing computational approaches to analyze complex medical datasets, developing state-of-the-art algorithms aimed at diagnostic and therapeutic advancements, and actively contributing to scholarly publications in premier scientific journals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and validate machine learning and deep learning models tailored for medical imaging analysis and supporting clinical decision-making processes.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, data scientists, and software developers to transition research outcomes into practical, scalable healthcare solutions.
- Publish research findings in recognized academic journals and present at industry conferences to foster advancements in medical science.
- Enhance algorithmic performance focusing on accuracy, computational efficiency, and scalability to handle extensive medical data collections.
- Develop internal frameworks and tools to streamline and expedite research operations within the medical domain.
Qualifications and Skills
- PhD or comparable experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline emphasizing medical applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis applied to medical datasets.
- Proficiency in programming with Python, R, or Julia; familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn for medical data handling.
- Experience managing medical imaging modalities including MRI, CT scans, and X-rays using toolkits like ITK, SimpleITK, or MONAI.
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in medical or artificial intelligence research.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards such as DICOM and HL7, and compliance with regulations including HIPAA and GDPR.
- Capability to thrive in dynamic research settings with iterative project development.

Compensation
The remuneration for this role ranges from $350,000 to $500,000 annually.
