Role overview
This is a full-time remote opportunity for a Member of Technical Staff focused on Finance Research. The position is for a client of the hiring company and is centered on in-depth financial analysis that supports investment choices and broader strategic work. You will work with colleagues across functions to build models and frameworks that improve financial decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Create and apply quantitative methods to evaluate financial markets, trends, and potential investment opportunities.
- Perform detailed research on financial instruments, economic signals, and developments within specific sectors.
- Build and improve algorithms that support automated financial analysis and decision-making.
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to turn research outputs into scalable solutions.
- Share findings and recommendations with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Required background
- Strong working knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages used in financial analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience analyzing financial data such as market data, company financial statements, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Solid grounding in quantitative finance, econometrics, or a closely related area.
- Ability to build, test, and validate financial models and algorithms.
- Experience handling large datasets and turning them into practical insights.
