Role overview

Pikes Peak Post Acute is hiring a dependable, caring Medication Technician to support residents in a skilled care setting. The position is centered on accurate medication handling, day-to-day resident support, and contributing to a warm, team-based environment where resident comfort and dignity come first.

Schedule and pay

This is a full-time onsite position with two shift options: day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and evening shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience, with additional shift differentials.

What you will do

  • Give medications safely and correctly according to physician instructions, facility procedures, and state rules.
  • Record medication administration and quickly escalate concerns or resident condition changes.
  • Support residents with daily living tasks when needed.
  • Monitor residents and share relevant observations with the nursing staff.
  • Keep medication carts, supplies, and documentation organized and compliant with facility expectations.
  • Protect resident safety, comfort, and dignity throughout every shift.
  • Coordinate with nurses, STNAs, therapists, and other team members to deliver high-quality resident care.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality requirements at all times.

What we are looking for

  • Active Medication Technician (Med Tech) or Medication Aide certification in Ohio is required.
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.
  • A compassionate, reliable, resident-centered approach.
  • Ability to juggle tasks and stay detail-oriented in a busy environment.
