Role Overview
This opening is for a Mammography Scheduler who will arrange mammography and DEXA appointments across multiple Charlotte Radiology locations. The work is based in a call-center environment, so the position involves being on the phone for most of the day.
Work Location and Schedule
The role is located at 8510 McAlpine Park Drive, Charlotte, NC 28211. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up mammography and DEXA appointments for patients across multiple facilities.
- Share guidance with patients about anniversary dates and the appropriate timing for return visits or repeat recommendations.
- Coordinate scheduling activities across several Charlotte Radiology locations.
- Work in close coordination with the authorization team to help keep processes efficient.
- Maintain communication with Special Accounts.
- Keep records accurate and ensure database information stays current.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a medical office, call center, or customer service setting is required.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is needed.
- Computer skills, including working knowledge of Windows and Outlook, are required.
- Prior medical office experience is preferred/expected as part of the qualification set.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently is important.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities when needed.
- Excellent customer service abilities are required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
- The role requires the ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Travel may be required up to 0-25% of the time.
