Overview
This role involves managing and organizing all accounts within a designated territory, focusing on ophthalmology products. The primary objective is to map the territory and meet sales targets while complying with company Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute marketing strategies devised by management in coordination with supervisors by introducing new products and enhancing awareness of existing ones.
- Regularly conduct industry research to stay informed and share updates with retailers, practitioners, and colleagues through articles and studies.
- Provide training to practitioners and their assistants regarding product usage.
- Maintain a professional company image by demonstrating excellent work ethics, deep product knowledge, and up-to-date information on products, procedures, and competitors.
- Professionally handle customer complaints after escalation to sales management.
- Be accountable for knowledgeable responses to customer inquiries.
- Gather detailed information about competing products including composition, packaging, pricing, and promotions.
- Apply sales techniques to introduce and sell the entire product line according to SOPs.
- Achieve sales targets within the assigned territory following a monthly schedule.
- Make a minimum of 15 sales visits daily, sharing latest articles and industry developments, and closing sales deals.
- Take orders, prepare quotations/offers within company price list or special client conditions, manage payment term agreements, and place orders appropriately.
- Seek supervisor approval for special discounts or deviations from price list.
- Professionally and ethically follow up on client payments.
- Complete a continuous sales cycle covering all customers and potentials in the territory.
- Address product-related troubleshooting with supervisor guidance.
- Maintain follow-up on existing sold products.
- Optimize time and minimize costs while traveling within the territory.
- Keep comprehensive records of customer history and interactions, updating organized documentation files.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly schedules with supervisors.
- Submit daily activity and achievement reports consistently.
Additional Job Conditions
- This is a field-based position requiring regular travel and presence on the road.
- The job requires daily email checks and consistent connectivity due to the remote and dynamic nature of assignments.
- A valid driving license is mandatory for this role.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor of Science or an equivalent degree required; a Master's degree is considered a plus.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in sales is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with hardware use.
- Extensive knowledge of company products is necessary.
