Role overview
This position sits within L’Oréal’s Dermatological Beauty division in Wellington and focuses on representing brands such as La Roche-Posay and CeraVe to healthcare professionals. The role is field-based, so success depends on active territory management, mobility, and thoughtful planning.
What the role involves
- Develop and maintain productive partnerships with dermatologists, general practitioners, and pharmacists, becoming a dependable point of contact and advisor.
- Follow a structured call plan to present dermatological products and formulations, with the aim of improving recommendations and increasing sales in the assigned area.
- Plan and run engaging training sessions for healthcare professionals covering products, scientific advances, and brand positioning.
- Work with stakeholders to spot new business opportunities, review territory performance, and put actions in place to meet growth targets.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate is motivated, commercially focused, and confident in building professional relationships. Suitable applicants will bring a background in pharmacy, science, or a closely related discipline, along with experience in medical sales and a history of influencing healthcare professionals. Strong planning and organizational ability is important for managing a broad territory, as are excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when explaining scientific information clearly. Experience in skincare or dermatology will be an added advantage.
