Role Overview

This opening is for a Medical Summarizer / Medical Underwriter Process Associate in Chennai. The role is suited to fresh graduates with strong academic background in life sciences or allied healthcare fields, along with good typing and communication skills.

Job Details

Location: Chennai, India (Taramani and Ambattur)

Interview location: Ambattur

Working days: 5 days a week

Shift: Night shift, from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am

Salary: INR 17,500 take-home for freshers, plus incentives

Notice period: Immediate joiners preferred

Responsibilities

• Review medical files and create summaries according to client instructions.
• Draft precise reports that match the required format and specifications.
• Analyze medical records and related terminology to support underwriting requirements.
• Complete assigned work on time while maintaining strong accuracy.
• Work smoothly with team members to meet process expectations.
• Maintain a professional approach and communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.

Requirements

• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• Graduates or postgraduates in relevant streams such as B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Tech, M.Sc, BPT, B. Pharm, microbiology, biotechnology, biomedical, or biochemistry are preferred.
• Sound knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is required.
• Good understanding of medical terminology is important.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.

Eligibility

Suitable candidates include fresh graduates or entry-level applicants with qualifications in B.Sc Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Nursing, B.Tech/B.E in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering, and B.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance. Candidates with B.Tech / M.Tech / B.Sc / M.Sc backgrounds in microbiology, BPT, bio technology, bio medical, or bio chemistry can also apply.

Additional Information

Direct walk-in interviews will be conducted from Monday to Friday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
