Job Responsibilities
- Welcome patients with warmth and respect, serving as the first point of contact.
- Manage incoming calls by answering, screening, prioritizing, and redirecting as necessary.
- Accurately maintain and update electronic medical records and process patient intake documentation.
- Handle billing processes, payments, and insurance paperwork efficiently.
- Ensure the seamless flow of patients through the clinic to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Office Assistant is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to adapt and solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- CPR and First Aid certification considered an advantage.
Additional Information
The position primarily runs during weekdays, Monday to Friday, but requires availability during evenings and weekends to support clinic operations. Pay ranges from $17 to $28 per hour depending on experience.
