Role Overview

The Medical Information Contractor is responsible for managing and responding to medical-related inquiries and providing accurate information related to the client's products in adherence to regulatory standards. This position supports healthcare professionals by delivering scientifically and medically accurate responses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to written inquiries from healthcare providers regarding medical information.
  • Address escalated calls from the client’s call center about products when required.
  • Update or develop medical letters related to the organization’s products.
  • Ensure compliance with medical ethics and legal mandates to limit corporate liability while providing product or device information.
  • Act as an educational resource to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Identify and document initial information regarding product complaints or adverse events encountered during inquiries, following FDA guidelines and company policies.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects and support dissemination of medical, scientific, and technical information about the products.
  • Assist and provide training to other medical information personnel, such as consultants.
  • Engage in managing call center escalations; note that no on-call or after-hours duties are required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • One to three years of experience responding to medical information requests directed at customers.
  • Strong attention to detail along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Medical Information (MI) Systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

Terms and Conditions

  • The contract duration is a minimum of 12 months with potential extension.
  • Anticipated start date is two weeks after receiving an offer.
  • This is a remote role requiring availability during Eastern Standard Time (EST) working hours.
