Job description
Position Overview
The Medical Information Officer plays a crucial role representing Julphar to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and other important stakeholders within a designated region or market. Acting as a reliable consultant, this individual facilitates customer decisions by offering tailored therapeutic solutions that address their specific needs. As the company's on-site representative, the MIO is expected to embody Julphar's core values, uphold business ethics, and enhance the organization's reputation continually.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed predefined sales goals within the allocated budget and timeframe.
- Develop and manage the assigned territory comprising customers, retailers, and significant stakeholders.
- Execute the company’s sales and marketing strategies within the specified area.
- Implement a territory coverage plan detailing the number of sales calls and visit frequency.
- Coordinate customer-focused activities alongside the line manager.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping systems, including daily reports, customer profiling, and marketing feedback.
- Organize work schedules and establish weekly and monthly plans.
- Submit daily, monthly, and CRM reports as required by country-specific protocols.
- Actively participate in company meetings and provide territory performance summaries.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability to meet the organization's ambitious targets.
- Commit to continuous self-education, updating knowledge, and effectively communicating clinical information to healthcare professionals.
- Plan and conduct audio-visual presentations for healthcare providers in collaboration with line and marketing managers.
- Stay updated with the latest clinical data shared by medical and marketing departments.
- Monitor competitor sales and marketing activities and provide appropriate market intelligence reports.
- Keep abreast of key healthcare activities within the territory.
- Utilize company promotional materials, free medical samples, and services effectively to fulfill targets.
- Pursue ongoing identification of new business prospects.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Science is mandatory.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration is highly advantageous.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of distributor and agent operations, government accounts, tendering, contracts, and pricing methods applicable in the country.
- Functional knowledge of clinical pharmaceutical aspects and a moderate understanding of pharma supply chains, dispensing requirements, and drug distribution channels.
- Proven track record of building strong partnerships with local teams, marketing, and medical departments at headquarters.
