Role Summary

Tag is looking for a Medical Copywriter to support client work in Australia. The role centers on creating clear, accurate, and persuasive medical and pharmaceutical content, especially for medico-marketing and healthcare professional communications. Strong experience in medical and scientific writing is essential, along with solid knowledge of Veeva Vault PromoMats and pharmaceutical advertising workflows.

Core Work

  • Develop a range of healthcare professional campaign assets such as websites, detail aids, leave-behinds, and email communications.
  • Create educational materials for HCPs, including slide decks, event invites, workshops, and related learning content.
  • Write content for print, digital, and audiovisual formats, including brochures, posters, newsletters, emails, e-learning modules, educational videos, and animations.
  • Tailor messaging for different audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory bodies, while preserving scientific accuracy and compliance.
  • Produce original copy for local product launches or adapt global content to suit local strategy.
  • Build content outlines and narratives that align with campaign plans and business goals.
  • Work closely with clients, external partners, studio teams, and internal colleagues to keep projects moving smoothly and meet deadlines.
  • Manage projects from first draft through final delivery, ensuring work is on brief, on time, and within budget.
  • Juggle several assignments at once while reviewing and improving copy to maintain strong quality and effectiveness.

Governance and Compliance

  • Maintain a high level of scientific accuracy and rigor in all deliverables.
  • Ensure all copy follows industry rules and ethical standards, including Medicines Australia Code of Conduct requirements.
  • Keep current with developments in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and therapeutic areas such as oncology, haematology, immunology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
  • Oversee the content approval workflow, including submissions to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Use MLR approval processes and Veeva Vault PromoMats as required tools for the role.
