Role Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in enhancing patient experiences by providing compassionate care and supporting clinical and administrative duties. Working closely with healthcare providers, this position is essential for ensuring smooth clinic operations and excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and greeting patients upon arrival
- Handling patient payments efficiently
- Assisting with patient rooming procedures
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Performing phlebotomy tasks
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the clinic
- Assisting physicians during clinical procedures such as saline sonograms and intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Qualifications and Certifications
- Preferably holds a Bachelor's Degree
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Phlebotomy certification is an advantage
Employment Details
This is a full-time onsite position with a 5-day workweek, consisting of 8-hour shifts. The role requires availability for early morning hours, including rotational weekends and holidays. It is classified as a non-exempt role under labor regulations.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $22 to $26, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and certifications.
