Role overview
This position is for a motivated medical professional to join the Assistance Team and help deliver high-quality international medical support for travelers and expatriates around the world. The role focuses on using clinical judgment and professional expertise to provide fast, suitable, and reliable assistance to members and clients in a demanding global environment.
Case coordination and assistance
- Handle incoming assistance requests from different countries and evaluate what support the client requires.
- Coordinate appropriate help through an approved international provider network.
- Collect details from multiple sources and turn them into clear, timely updates for clients.
- Keep communication professional with clients and stakeholders across regions while cases are being managed.
- Assist with planning and ongoing follow-up for international assistance cases.
- Make sure travel and transport arrangements align with operational standards.
- Escalate complicated cases according to established procedures and involve senior management or the relevant teams when needed.
Client support and business promotion
- Contribute to business development by helping promote services to both current and prospective clients.
- Support service presentations and explain offerings to clients when required.
Provider network development
- Help maintain and improve the global provider network by reviewing and refreshing provider information.
- Carry out provider evaluations and site visits where necessary.
Training and health education
- Deliver educational talks and presentations to clients and potential clients.
- Take part in client events and provide informative sessions that support service promotion.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a medical graduate with solid clinical experience in emergency medicine or intensive care. The role requires valid medical registration in the home country, or registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Strong communication, organization, and English language skills are important, along with basic computer literacy and the ability to work as a dependable team member. The person should be responsible, self-disciplined, and comfortable handling on-call duties.
Travel and rotation
Travel or rotation duties may be required as needed.
