Job description
About the organisation
ISBA represents UK brand owners who advertise and gives them a unified voice. The organisation supports members through insight, networking and advocacy, while also influencing the future direction of the advertising sector and protecting advertisers’ interests.
Its purpose is to help members operate successfully in a fast-moving and complex environment, with priorities centred on building trust and effectiveness, improving transparency and strengthening future capability.
About the role
This opportunity is suited to an organised and proactive professional at an early stage of their career. You will join ISBA’s Media & Advertising Relations team and gain practical exposure to media, advertising effectiveness and member-focused work, while assisting senior team members in delivering useful outputs for UK advertisers.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with research, gathering information and analysing data to support member guidance and industry initiatives.
- Keep trackers, reports and working documents up to date so projects progress efficiently.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations, guides and insight-led content.
- Help coordinate meetings, working groups and events from preparation through to post-event follow-up.
- Provide adaptable support across different teams wherever it is most useful.
What you should bring
- Approximately one year of experience in media, marketing or advertising, ideally from an agency, brand or similar environment.
- Strong organisational habits and a sharp eye for detail.
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Good written communication skills and a cooperative working style.
- A curious mindset and the ability to learn quickly.
Why this role stands out
- Direct exposure to senior marketers from leading UK advertisers.
- Broad insight into media, creative and effectiveness work.
- Opportunity to contribute to a team that helps members respond to change in the industry.
- A chance to grow professionally in a high-quality, member-led environment.
Benefits
- Hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
- Holiday entitlement of 22 days, plus 5 office closure days at Christmas. This increases to 23 days after 3 years of service, 24 days after 5 years and 25 days after 10 years. You also receive one extra day for your birthday, to be taken within two weeks either side of it.
- Pension contributions made in line with current legislation, with the employer currently contributing 3% and the employee 5%. After one year, the company contribution rises to 10%. Employee top-ups can be arranged through salary sacrifice.
- Private healthcare through BUPA for the individual after one year; partners and dependants are not included.
- Christmas bonus.
- Health and wellbeing allowance of £53 per month, offered instead of the gym membership benefit that was discontinued during Covid.
- Cycle to work scheme via salary sacrifice, for a bike worth up to £2,500.
- Access to the Salary Extras portal, offering savings on items such as supermarkets and cinema tickets.
- Working from home allowance, tax-free, up to the government limit of £26 per month.
