Join Sobeys in Brantford, Ontario as a full-time Meat & Seafood Clerk. In this store-based role, you will help create a positive shopping experience by handling meat department tasks accurately, efficiently, and with strong customer focus.

Key responsibilities

• Follow food safety standards, operating procedures, health and safety rules, corporate policies, and related programs.
• Order, receive, prepare, and display meat products according to inventory control practices when needed.
• Deliver helpful and reliable service that supports customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Promote featured items to help drive store sales.
• Keep the back room and sales floor neat, clean, and ready for customers in line with company expectations.
• Prepare customer meat orders as required.
• Track and process department shrink when needed.
• Help train junior team members.
• Take on additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Comfort working independently in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for long periods, and bending, reaching, and lifting as part of the job.
