Role Overview

Egis is looking for a meticulous and analytical Maximo/EAMS Technician to join the team in Doha, Qatar. The role centers on administering and improving the Enterprise Asset Management System to support reliable assets, efficient maintenance workflows, and effective operational performance.

What You Will Do

  • Set up, support, and resolve issues on IBM Maximo or a comparable Enterprise Asset Management System.
  • Design and apply asset management practices that help raise operational efficiency.
  • Raise, update, and track work orders, preventive maintenance plans, and asset master data.
  • Prepare reports and review system data to spot patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to keep records accurate and entered on time.
  • Support users with troubleshooting and training related to EAMS features and workflows.
  • Handle system updates, enhancements, and upgrade activities when required.
  • Protect data accuracy and help maintain strong database performance.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures for EAMS processes.
  • Assist with connecting EAMS to other business applications and systems.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience using Maximo or a similar EAMS platform.
  • Good working knowledge of IBM Maximo or an equivalent enterprise asset management tool.
  • Solid understanding of asset management concepts and maintenance methods.
  • Practical experience with database administration and SQL.
  • Familiarity with work order management systems and related processes.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a structured approach to solving problems.
  • Background in industrial maintenance or facilities maintenance environments.
  • Well-developed analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle several priorities and work efficiently under changing demands.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
