Job Overview
This part-time role involves working approximately 10 to 15 hours weekly, subject to client needs. The position requires in-home, one-on-one instruction focused on building meaningful relationships with students and their families. Tutors act as trusted advisors who motivate accountability and academic achievement.
Subjects Taught
- Humanities subjects (areas of greatest passion should be specified)
- Mathematics courses: Math general, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, AP Calculus AB/BC, Statistics
- Economics
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or higher preferred
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching
- Preferably experienced with students from New York independent or private schools
- Comfortable serving high-net-worth families with high expectations
- Professionalism, warmth, discretion, and strong communication skills
- Availability during weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (Sunday preferred)
- Ability to commit around 10–15 hours weekly
- Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
