Role Overview and Responsibilities
The position as a Master of Business Sessional Lecturer is a full-time, on-campus role based at SAHE's Greater Sydney campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Master of Business course units through lectures, tutorials, and workshops designed to actively engage students.
- Develop and refresh course materials consistently to meet current academic standards.
- Design and administer assessments, including marking assignments and examinations, while ensuring prompt and constructive feedback.
- Conduct consultation sessions to facilitate student support and academic progress.
- Maintain meticulous academic records and participate in moderation and quality assurance activities.
- Attend academic meetings and keep abreast of advances in business and management scholarship.
- Ensure teaching practices comply with SAHE's policies and the relevant regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess strong knowledge in business and management fields such as strategy, leadership, marketing, finance, and operations ideally at the Master’s level.
- Experience in university-level teaching, curriculum preparation, learning design, and assessment processes.
- Effective academic communication skills, including lecturing, facilitating tutorials, academic writing, and providing quality student feedback.
- Competent in using teaching-related digital platforms including LMS and presentation software.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education and ability to support diverse student populations, especially international students.
- Holds a relevant postgraduate qualification in Business or Management; doctoral qualifications or candidacy is a plus.
- Familiarity with teaching in postgraduate higher education, preferably within an Australian regulatory environment.
- Strong organizational capabilities to handle multiple units, adhere to deadlines, and keep detailed records.
- Demonstrates professionalism, cooperative spirit, and dedication to academic program development and quality improvement.
