About the Role

SPAR Eastgate, a celebrated convenience retailer based in Cork, is seeking an energetic and imaginative Marketing & Social Media Assistant to become part of their team at SPAR Little Island. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, making it ideal for marketing students or individuals seeking additional marketing and content creation hours alongside other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and publish social media content across various channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Contribute to the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns aimed at enhancing customer engagement and strengthening brand visibility.
• Work collaboratively to design graphics, edit video materials, and produce content consistent with the SPAR Eastgate brand.
• Track social media metrics and generate reports offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Assist in organizing promotions, events, and in-store activities to foster community interaction and boost customer visits.
• Handle social media communications by responding promptly to customer queries and comments.
• Support miscellaneous marketing administrative duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Genuine enthusiasm for marketing and social media paired with a creative mindset and keen eye for detail.
• Preferably studying or experienced in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
• Knowledgeable in social media platforms and familiar with content creation software such as Canva, Adobe Spark, or equivalents.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
