Role summary

This position works directly with the Brand Director to support brand-building activities and the rollout of new products. The company is looking for recent graduates or rising seniors who live in New York City or the surrounding area.

Key responsibilities

  • Study competitors in depth, including their product lines, marketing approaches, and market positioning.
  • Build SWOT analyses and prepare clear reports on competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Share research findings with the marketing team to support planning and strategic decisions.
  • Help create and refresh market and brand presentations for internal and external use.
  • Collect, organize, and format supporting data, images, and content so presentation materials are complete and visually strong.
  • Work with the marketing and design teams to keep all materials aligned with brand standards and messaging.
  • Track emerging trends in the market, consumer behavior, and industry developments.
  • Identify product and marketing opportunities based on trend insights and report recommendations to the team.
  • Make sure creative request briefs are detailed, clear, and aligned with brand goals.
  • Coordinate with the creative team so projects are prioritized and completed on schedule.
  • Monitor social channels, reply to comments and messages, and review engagement performance on a weekly basis.
  • Support content development for blog posts, newsletters, and website copy.
  • Assist with email newsletter design, distribution, list management, segmentation, and campaign reporting.
  • Take part in relevant online communities, build relationships with influencers and brand supporters, and help organize digital community events.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Business is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the beauty industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort with interpreting information.
  • Confident presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both traditional and non-traditional channels.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Work arrangement and schedule

This is a hybrid role with two in-office days in New York City and three remote days each week. Candidates must be local to New York. The position starts on September 1 and continues through December 18, 2026.
