Job description
Role overview
This role is centered on managing the operational side of brand storytelling and communications work in Canada. It supports high-visibility initiatives across public relations, analyst relations, awards, and thought leadership, making sure every campaign is planned clearly, coordinated well, and delivered without gaps. The position works across multiple functions and with outside partners to move programs from concept to completion in a fast-paced, globally connected setting.
The job is suited to someone who combines structured project management with strong communication instincts and can keep complex initiatives moving while maintaining alignment among stakeholders. In practice, you will act as the coordination hub for brand and communications work, helping internal teams, agency partners, and leadership stay organized and on track.
Core responsibilities
You will oversee end-to-end delivery of brand marketing and communications programs, balancing strategy, execution, and stakeholder coordination across several workstreams at once.
- Plan and run brand marketing initiatives such as PR campaigns, analyst relations activity, awards submissions, and thought leadership programs.
- Own project schedules, budgets, scopes, and deliverables to ensure work is completed on time and at a high standard.
- Work closely with internal groups such as content, design, digital, and product marketing to keep collaboration smooth and effective.
- Act as the main coordination point for marketing leaders, PR agencies, journalists, and analyst firms.
- Keep global communications calendars current and aligned across regions and functions.
- Measure the performance of brand initiatives, review results, and share recommendations to strengthen future campaigns and workflows.
- Spot risks early, clear blockers, and improve processes to make execution more efficient and impactful.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate has substantial project management experience in a brand, PR, or communications environment and is comfortable operating in deadline-driven, multi-stakeholder settings. The role calls for both strategic thinking and practical execution.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within brand marketing, public relations, or communications.
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid understanding of PR, analyst relations, awards programs, and brand storytelling.
- Demonstrated experience managing external agencies and working across internal cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities in complex environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and polishing press releases, awards entries, and marketing materials.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships across internal and external partners.
- Comfort working with both long-term planning and day-to-day operational detail.
- Experience in Agile or consulting environments is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms is an asset for improving efficiency.
