Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with entrepreneurial spirit, strong editorial judgment, and systems thinking abilities. They are fluent with digital media platforms, proficient in short-form video production, and comfortable with brand negotiations and on-camera appearances. A genuine connection with conservation values and flexibility for international field travel is essential.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven track record managing and growing social media channels with measurable results.
- Experience negotiating and executing brand or influencer deals.
- Advanced skills in short-form video creation and editing.
- Strong graphic design capabilities, particularly proficient with Canva.
- In-depth knowledge of social media algorithms and content trends.
- Excellent written communication abilities for diverse formats including newsletters and pitches.

- Experience with email marketing, Shopify administration, SEO, or AEO.
Compensation and Benefits
This contract role offers a negotiable base retainer or hourly pay invoiced monthly. SOSA covers flights, lodging, and meals during field travel. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and workspace as this is an independent engagement.
