Job description
About CMOS
CMOS is a New Zealand-owned commercial cleaning business that has expanded by more than 10 times over the last decade and has been recognised in the Deloitte Fast 50 for two years in a row. The company employs 150+ cleaners and services 650+ sites across New Zealand and Sydney. Its positioning is built on service quality, dependability, and trust rather than price competition.
About the Role
This is a newly created position where you will take ownership of the marketing function from the outset. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will control strategy, budget, and delivery. In effect, you will be building the marketing capability for the business from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the yearly marketing plan, define the channel mix, and manage the budget in line with revenue goals.
- Build and maintain sales support materials such as capability statements, one-pagers, case studies, and proposal templates.
- Oversee digital marketing activity across search engine optimisation, Google Ads, LinkedIn, and email campaigns.
- Develop a referral and partnership programme involving leasing agents and property managers.
- Lead CRM setup and marketing performance reporting within Odoo.
- Plan and manage industry event activity, including the FMANZ Summit, covering research before the event through to follow-up afterwards.
Skills and Experience
The right person will be an independent marketer who can think strategically, communicate clearly in writing, and turn plans into action without relying on a large support team.
- Bring at least 5 years of B2B marketing experience; exposure to services, facilities, or property sectors is advantageous.
- Be able to create strategy and personally deliver execution, as both are required in this role.
- Be comfortable working across SEO, Google Ads, LinkedIn, and email marketing.
- Produce strong written materials that support a premium brand and high-quality proposals.
- Understand commercial priorities and how marketing activity contributes to pipeline growth.
What This Role Is Not
This position will not suit someone who needs a large team, a fully mapped-out playbook, or a role focused only on delivery.
What’s on Offer
- A competitive salary, to be agreed based on experience and seniority.
- Performance-related KPIs so results are clearly recognised.
- Weekly pay.
- Direct exposure to senior leadership from the first day.
- Complete ownership of strategy, budget, and execution.
- A supportive Wellington team with a warm, family-like culture.
- Flexible working arrangements, with full-time, part-time, permanent, and contract options available.
- Working holiday visa holders are welcome to apply.
