Role overview
This position sits within the Jo Malone London brand team at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. in Sydney. The role focuses on shaping the market strategy, coordinating launches and campaigns, and ensuring the brand delivers strong commercial results across retail, online and consumer touchpoints.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to shape the brand roadmap and product mix using market trends, competitor activity, consumer insights and expected business impact. Help plan the marketing calendar in line with global and regional direction, while balancing local priorities.
- Drive the creation of NPL and campaign concepts and the brand USP, and coordinate 360-degree campaigns with the consumer engagement team. Work with cross-functional leaders to keep the core message consistent across all consumer-facing communications.
- Work with the CRM team to identify the right customer segments for activations and improve business performance across all customer touchpoints.
- Own and support the sales forecast process from pre-launch through launch, including saleable and non-saleable management. Help maintain smooth supply flow and healthy inventory levels to support brand sales.
- Coordinate closely with the online team to align planning, strengthen brand objectives, and improve assortment, launch timing and channel strategy across omni-channel activity.
- Develop strong retailer partnerships, create trade marketing plans, and work with retail partners to secure opportunities and coordinate joint initiatives.
- Lead promotional strategy by building the right offers for the right channels and audiences. Track KPIs, measure samples and gift ROI, gather stakeholder feedback, and turn insights into improvements.
- Ensure promotional support is executed effectively by working closely with the field team, building end-to-end programs, and reviewing results and learnings after activation.
- Lead in-store visual merchandising using global guidelines as the foundation while adapting locally to strengthen storytelling and deliver a premium retail experience.
- Partner with the regional team to capture both qualitative and quantitative market insights for future product development, packaging enhancements and assortment opportunities.
- Coach and support team members and provide clear guidance to help maintain consistent project execution.
Requirements
- A university degree in marketing or a related business discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG, retail or beauty is needed.
- Proven success in building brand business, working collaboratively and leading initiatives is essential.
- The ideal candidate is pleasant, proactive and highly committed to quality and excellence.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal abilities are needed, along with creativity and a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent presentation, leadership and interpersonal communication skills are required.
