Job description
About the Role
We are a compact, technically skilled team located in San Francisco focused on developing infrastructure for AI laboratories and enterprises. Our product is a marketplace and platform facilitating reinforcement learning (RL) environments, post-training data management, and large-scale model evaluation. Our team comprises Olympiad medalists and recognized AI researchers, united by the goal of democratizing RL training.
We seek a Marketing & Events Lead to define and amplify our brand voice, increase inbound interest, and cultivate a community around our highly technical product. This key position will shape how we communicate with cutting-edge AI labs, enterprises, RL researchers, and the wider developer network.
This role requires full-time on-site presence in San Francisco, CA. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and content calendar from the outset.
- Lead social media efforts on platforms like Twitter/X and LinkedIn to boost audience growth, engagement, and inbound leads.
- Produce high-quality ghostwritten content for founders that conveys product vision, platform progress, and technical insights.
- Convert complex RL and AI topics into easily understandable and engaging narratives for a technical audience.
- Continuously develop brand voice, messaging, and storytelling across all communication channels.
- Test diverse content types and focus on those yielding measurable outcomes.
- Identify strategic event participation opportunities such as conferences, hackathons, and community tech gatherings relevant to our audience.
- Organize and execute impactful, well-produced events that enhance brand recognition and generate pipelines.
- Assist the founding team by preparing for presentations and panel discussions at events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong enthusiasm for frontier AI models and a passion for crafting narratives in technical domains.
- Proven background in marketing, content creation, or community management within startup environments.
- Demonstrated success in growing social media presence and brand visibility.
- A portfolio that reflects ability to grasp technical products and explain them clearly and accurately.
- Experience organizing and leading events, meetups, or community initiatives from start to finish.
- Capacity to work autonomously and adapt swiftly in an early-stage company.
- Competence with essential marketing software including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and events simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience marketing AI/ML products, developer tools, or specialized technical platforms.
- Existing relationships within RL research, engineering, or startup ecosystems.
- Familiarity with analytics and growth marketing tactics tailored to social and content channels.
- A well-formed perspective on effective brand building and storytelling by leading technical firms.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 USD, based on experience.
- Equity opportunities in a promising, well-funded early-stage AI infrastructure startup.
- Direct collaboration with a first-rate technical founding team at the forefront of AI research and development.
- High degree of ownership and impact from the initial day within a small, agile team.
Location and Work Conditions
This position is exclusively on-site in San Francisco, CA. We prioritize a collaborative, face-to-face team environment, thus remote or hybrid working arrangements are not offered. Applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S., as visa sponsorship is unavailable.
